Why buy soil, soil amendments, chemical or synthetic fertilizers when you can make your own organic fertilizer and rich fertile soil by having red worms compost your kitchen waste? In your garden they breakdown and aerate the soil, allowing water and oxygen to move to your plant's roots. Their castings (worm poop) are rich in nutrients -- an organic slow release fertilizer -- that provides nutrition for your plants while building healthy soil. The use of red worms in your garden also contributes to sustainable agriculture in the Verde Valley.

At Heartstone Farm, we raise and sell quality red wiggler worms (eisenia fetida) for your compost and garden. We are open Spring through Autumn and charge $20.00 per pound of worms. We also provide information and instructions for caring for your worms. To pick up some red wigglers for your garden, you can reach us at memiherrick@yahoo.com or give us a call at (928) 567-8687.
